  • Usage data: Information about how you interact with our website, including pages visited, time spent, browser type, and device information.
  • Cookies: Small data files stored on your device to improve your browsing experience. See Section 8 below for details.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type and version, time zone setting, operating system, and platform.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your personal information to:

  • Respond to your enquiries and provide the services you request.
  • Improve our website and user experience.
  • Send relevant communications about our services (only with your consent).
  • Comply with legal obligations.
  • Ensure the security and proper functioning of our website.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

Under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR, we process your personal data based on:

  • Consent: Where you have given clear consent for us to process your data (e.g., submitting our contact form with the consent checkbox ticked, or accepting analytics cookies via our cookie banner).
  • Legitimate interest: Where processing is necessary for our legitimate business interests (e.g., improving our website, responding to enquiries), provided these interests do not override your rights.
  • Contractual necessity: Where processing is necessary to fulfil a contract with you.
  • Legal obligation: Where processing is required to comply with applicable laws.

Under the Indian Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP Act) 2023, we process your data based on your consent or for legitimate uses as specified under the Act.

5. Data Sharing & Third-Party Processors

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes. We may share data with the following trusted service providers who assist us in operating our website and delivering our services:

  • Formspree, Inc. (United States) — processes contact form submissions on our behalf. Formspree Privacy Policy.
  • Google LLC (United States) — we use Google Fonts, which may transmit your IP address to Google servers. Google Privacy Policy.
  • Cloudflare / unpkg — we load the AOS animation library from the unpkg CDN, which may log basic access data. Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
  • Firebase / Google Cloud (United States) — our website is hosted on Firebase Hosting. Firebase Privacy and Security.

All processors are contractually obligated to process your data only on our instructions and to implement appropriate security measures.

6. International Data Transfers

Accurism is based in India and serves clients in the United Kingdom, the United States, and other jurisdictions. Your personal data may be transferred to, stored, and processed in countries outside your country of residence, including:

  • India — where our team is based.
  • United States — where Formspree, Google, and Firebase process data.

Where personal data is transferred outside the UK or EEA, we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place. These include:

  • Reliance on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) or the European Commission, as applicable.
  • Conducting Transfer Impact Assessments (TIAs) to evaluate the data protection laws of the recipient country and ensure an essentially equivalent level of protection.
  • Implementing supplementary technical and organisational measures where necessary, including encryption in transit, access controls, and data minimisation practices.

Our third-party processors — including Google (Firebase Hosting, Google Fonts) and Formspree — maintain their own compliance with applicable data transfer frameworks, including the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where applicable.

For transfers from India, we comply with the data transfer provisions of the DPDP Act 2023 and any rules notified thereunder.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this policy, or as required by law. Contact form submissions are retained for up to 24 months, after which they are securely deleted.

8. Cookies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. When you first visit our site, a cookie consent banner allows you to accept or reject non-essential cookies.

  • Essential cookies: Required for the basic functionality of the website (e.g., cookie consent preference). These do not require your consent.
  • Analytics cookies: Used to understand how visitors interact with our site. These are only set if you click "Accept All" on our cookie banner.

You can change or withdraw your cookie preferences at any time by clearing your browser cookies and revisiting the site, or by adjusting your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through their settings.
